Gone

It is so quiet here tonite. No traffic. This part of the County is still trying to dry out and get the roads open again.

My little hairball, "Trouble", slipped out through the screen door this morning, while no one was looking, and after totally ignoring my calls, and after a romp in the woods...ran in front of a school bus. I have no idea where that bus came from or what the heck she was doing on our closed road. Doesn't matter, I guess. The bus smashed the poor baby's back and pelvis and internals, and he had to be put to sleep.

We are both pretty much lost without him--he was in charge of 'comic relief' here! A funny looking little mutt, who loved to dig in his toy box and trot out something for us to throw so he could chase it and bring it back. Sometimes, he'd just go nuts and race himself from one end of the rv to the other... :) This RV isn't the same without him bossing us all around.

Even Kizzee seems lost... She spent the morning sniffing the RV, inside and out. He made her life difficult, but I guess she misses him, too. She's now the "only dog", for the first time since she was a year old.

In the midst of it all, the guy came and connected us to the Internet! Seems strange to not have to be constantly re-connecting! I got a message from the Verizon guy that I talked to last weekend...something about a contract discrepancy? Now, I signed up for one year on the original air card and kept it for 2, before trying an upgrade. Should be no problem returning it, since it doesn't work any better than the old one-or so I'm told. Naturally, when I upgraded last month, I automatically became the proud owner of a new contract for my air card...which should be a totally separate thing from my cell phones. It will be interesting, and probably tick me off royally, if they tell me that they put the card service onto the phone contract and if I cancel it, I have to pay a huge FEE. Stay tuned....
