May has come and gone already! Time flies when Hubby is working! :D Which now, he isn't. One of those deals where another sub-contractor is supposed to do stuff before our guys can go any further with their 'dirt moving'. So the guys who didn't get sent to another job are laid off. Waiting.

Keith is supposed to go to the dentist today, after dropping by the Union Hall to find out the last on pipeline jobs, etc. He spent the weekend working on the rv plumbing. The carpet between the kitchen and living room was soggy! :( After emptying out cabinets, and digging around under the sink, we found a dripping line, coming out of the water heater. Funny how a line can just sit there and do its job...and 4 years later, it starts dripping??? And of course, to make proper repairs, involved a 'trip' out of the County!

Meanwhile, I 'moved in' to my new (factory refurbished) laptop, plugged in the new Verizon air card--and discovered that even the newest wireless technology can't take the place of a non-existent Verizon tower nearby! All the trees have leafed out and my shaky connection had gone from hohum to downright annoying! And it still is! So the new card is going back to Verizon and the local wireless company is bring out a little dish receiver to put in our yard. :) Since the RV is not moving, might as well have decent internet access!!! I can hardly wait!

Moving into a new laptop, after 4 years of living in the old one has it's challenges...but they're going to be worth it! The old one lost it's screen a few months back, which we replaced with a cheap desktop monitor. Then the power cord got lazy.... And finally, our incentive check came from the gov'ment... :D So I found a source for Dell factory refurb units and bought me one! I am amazed and astounded! 120 G hard drive? RAM that's measured in Gigs instead of MB? A bigger screen.... And the Home Edition of Windows XP, instead of the new and troublesome Vista OS. Life is good!
